The COVID-19 pandemic is an unexpected and distressing world event. We added two short surveys (three months apart) to the MAPP Study in 2020 to understand the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on Australian men aged in their thirties. We added another survey in 2021 to understand the longer term effects of the pandemic.

Existing MAPP study participants have been invited by email to complete the surveys. Their responses will give us insight into the effects of the unprecedented changes to our lives brought on by changes that have occurred in response to the pandemic.

We aim to use our findings to directly inform activities related to mitigating the negative effects of COVID-19, by directing health services where needed most, and understanding the ways that men would most like to access support in the future.
